Fully Experiencing the Eucharist requires work

Issue 02 | March & April 2009

At the heart of every parish and, in reality, its major reason for existence is the celebration of the Eucharist, on Sundays and even daily throughout the week. We do not assemble simply to sing; we do not assemble simply to listen to a sermon; we do not assemble simply to feel good with our neighbors and others in fellowship; we do not assemble simply to provide a place for our kids to play basketball, soccer, baseball or football; we do not assemble simply to give back to God one hour of our week or 30 minutes of our day.

Debemos esforzarnos para experimentar completamente la Eucaristía

Issue 02 | March & April 2009

Focus on the Liturgy of the Eucharist

Issue 01 | January & February 2009

Our focus in this first issue is on Living Eucharist, the three-year initiative begun last year on the feast of Christ the King. Last year our focus was on the word of God, particularly the word as proclaimed in the first part of every celebration of the Mass. God is present to us in three ways: in his word, in his body and blood in the Eucharist and in one another. In was very appropriate that we began with the “word” for, as John’s Gospel says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Enfoque en la liturgia de la Eucaristía

Issue 01 | January & February 2009

” Jn 1:1.
